The last chapter provided you a list of our favorite French podcasts. Podcasts are great for improving your listening skills and are great as you can enjoy them while on the go. This chapter carries your listening skills forward and adds a visual element to your French learning with a list of our favorite YouTube videos. These videos give you illustrations using slides, whiteboards, cartoons, recorded acts, and so forth. More importantly, it's a great way learn French as a visual learner.You can find a broad range of videos to suit your needs, interests and level of French. The length of videos also varies. It is easy to find videos that are only two or three minutes long. There are also longer videos as well.Below we share our favorite French Youtube channels. Top French Youtube Channels For French Beginners

1. Learn French with Vincent

Vincent is perhaps the most prolific YouTuber when it comes to learning French. He has videos that focus on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and expressions. If you like the personality and style of the videos, you may wish to make this channel a main source for your French learning.

2. French Together with Benjamin Houy

Benjamin is less prolific a YouTuber than Vincent. He takes samples from real French life such as French comedians, TV series and French commercials and helps break them down in order to help you improve your French.

3. FrenchPod

If you’ve been enjoying the French 101 Podcast, check out their YouTube channel and meet the individuals whose voices you’ve been listening to. You can complement your podcast lessons with short videos to reinforce the material you’re studying. You can also enjoy their series of ‘the top 25’ such as verbs, nouns adjectives, and phrases.

4. You Learn French

This channel has dozens of short videos which focus on particular categories of vocabulary or themes. Because the videos are short and animated, they are easy to fit in to even the shortest of breaks. This is a great channel for somebody who just wants to get to the point and have easy-to-review material in short snippets.

5. Yannick Sayer

This French Youtube channel has a broad range of material for learning French, even at advanced level. One of the great things about Yannick’s material is that allows you to use your French to learn and review material such as project management, science and perspective in drawing and visual spaces.

6. Paul Taylor’s What the Fuck France?

Looking for some humor in your French-learning goals? Paul Taylor has a series of short videos share vignettes of a sarcastic take on French culture as seen by an Englishman who’s lived a long time in France. While mostly in English with French subtitles, you will also hear some French words and dialogues and enjoy improving your French in a drôle

7. Français Authentique

The host Johan only speaks in French on his YouTube videos. So this is a great option for when you’ve reached an intermediate level and you’re looking for more immersion into the language. Johan can help you clear up when to use the imperfect (l’imparfait) and when to use the past perfect (le passé composé) and he also has a personal development series to help you build confidence, daily routines, and flexibility in your French learning.

8. Learn French with Alexa

Alex Polidoro is the hostess of this channel and has dozens of videos ranging from about 90 seconds to ten minutes each. She covers the basics and a few things for intermediate learners, such as the ‘school-related’ French abbreviations.

9. Je French

This channel offers a few basics for the absolute beginner. This is a channel for somebody who has never learned a word of French.

10. Radio Lingua

These are the producers of Coffee Break French, Walk and Talk, and Learn French. We recommended the podcast by Radio Lingua, and they also have a YouTube channel with a videos of average length from six to ten minutes each.
