This week, we're excited to introduce a free, simple tool that we created called "How Much Do Private Language Lessons Cost?"The most common questions we get from visitors of our website are:
- How much is Rype compared to language schools
- How is Rype different from other websites/programs?
- What would I be paying per session at Rype versus a language school?
We do our best to be as transparent as possible upfront about the value that Rype offers, how we're different, and who would benefit most from using Rype. But we know that things get lost in translation online, and it's not manageable for us to speak to every single interested visitor to explain our value proposition.
So we hope this free calculator tool will be of help. In short, we ask you questions like:
- What language you're learning
- How much time you have per week to learn
- How many lessons you'd like to take
Then do a simple calculation to give you an estimate on:
- How much you'll pay per session (at Rype)
- How much you'll save versus what a language school would charge you (Hint: It's a lot more!)
- How much time you'll spend to learn your target language with us (approximately 1-3 hours/week)
The intention of creating a free tool like this was to help as many people become aware of how much they're overpaying to learn from a traditional institution. If you're curious to know, the reason why we can bring more value for significantly less cost (nearly 1/10th) is that we connect you directly with private language teachers.
Since language schools need to burden the costs of managing a physical real estate, paying for insurance, compliance, benefits, and administration costs, they're forced to increase the pricing per lesson for students in order to make a healthy margin on their expenses.
Rype incurs none of those costs (we're 100% remote, so we don't even have a physical office!), which allows us to focus on sourcing the best teachers for live 1-on-1 lessons, and giving you more value for less.
We'd love for you to check it out here, and share any feedback you have on how we can improve the tool, what other information would be useful for you to know, and any questions you have about it!And as always, please share it out with your fellow language learning friends!
